Jerry Muadinohamba (CEO)

Greetings from the Chief Executive Officer’s office.

We marked a full-year anniversary of the implementation of the new Act, Act 10 of 2007 and entered a second year of the Fund’s five year strategic plan in April and May 2009 respectively.

"Leading to the next level while radiating passion for service excellence"

In an effort to steer the Fund into high performance organization and improved service delivery, we have decided to embark upon a process leading the organization to the next level. A high performance organization is an organization that achieves results that are better than those of its peer group over a long period of time, by being able to adapt well to changes and react on them quickly, by managing for the long term, by setting up an integrated and aligned management structure, by continuously improving its core capabilities, and by truly treating the employees as its main asset. We, at the Fund, undertake to do just that.

After a strategic review held at the end of May 2009, the Fund has adopted five objectives for the current financial year ending March 2010 which are within the three strategic focus areas for the period 2013. The objectives are:

· Financial Sustainability

· Service Excellence

· Trust and Confidence

· Public Investment

· Effective Information Management

All Business Units objectives have been re-aligned to ensure that all programmes and activities contribute to the above-mentioned five annual objectives. We believe in providing the best customer services.

The Fund recently held a successful road safety workshop with representatives from Road Safety Foundation of South Africa and the Mornach University Accident Research Centre at the MVA Fund Service Centre in Windhoek where the parties signed a commitment to work together on short and long term initiatives that support the accident and injury prevention strategy in Namibia.

We will continue in our effort to develop capacity to enhance proper rehabilitation of those who are seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents. The Fund is commited to ensure that they get the best treatment and rehabilitation programmes in order for them to recover and become productive citizens again. The public is assured of the Fund’s best service possible.
