The crash, which claimed ten (10) lives and left several others injured, serves as a sobering reminder of the fragility of life and the urgent need for safer road use. The MVA Fund assures the affected families that they will receive the necessary support, including funeral grant assistance and medical care for the injured.
For assistance with funeral and other related claims, family members are encouraged to contact the MVA Fund Service Centre in Ongwediva at Tel: 065 232 5110 or via email at Titus.Ambunda@mvafund.com.na or Memory.Nampala@mvafund.com.na.
The MVA Fund calls on all road users to remain alert, cautious, and considerate on the roads. Every moment of vigilance can save lives. During the past week alone, 67 road crashes were recorded nationwide. From January to 19 October 2025, the Fund recorded 2,606 crashes, resulting in 4,216 injuries and 401 fatalities.
Road crashes leave deep scars on families, communities, and the nation as a whole. Yet, they remain largely preventable through careful planning, adherence to traffic laws, and a collective commitment to responsible driving.
The Fund would like to remind the public to report crashes to its toll-free accident response number, 9682, as doing so could save lives.
