On Friday, 22 May 2026, the Executive Leadership Team of the MVA Fund paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Governor in the Kavango East Region as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen stakeholder engagement and to advance road safety initiatives nationwide.
The engagement provided the Fund with an opportunity to brief regional leadership on its operations and services in the region, as well as its broader national mandate to support road crash victims and promote safer road use. Discussions also focused on areas of collaboration to enhance road safety awareness, prevention programmes and community outreach initiatives in the region.
The meeting underscored the importance of partnerships among public institutions, regional authorities and communities to address the growing challenge of road crashes and their socio-economic impact. With road safety remaining a national concern, both parties emphasised that meaningful progress can be achieved only through collective action and sustained cooperation among all stakeholders.
The MVA Fund reiterated its commitment to working closely with regional leadership and communities across Namibia to foster a culture of responsible road use and to ensure road safety remains a shared national endeavour.
