The MVA Fund conducted its “MVA Fund on Wheels” outreach programme in the Khomas Region from 25 to 27 March 2026, delivering essential services directly to communities. The initiative aimed to raise road safety awareness, help the public register new claims, and offer support on existing claims through mobile service points.
Over the three days, the Fund operated in Khomasdal Constituency on 25 March, John Pandeni Constituency on 26 March, and Windhoek Rural Constituency on 27 March. Community members received assistance on claims, information on the Fund’s benefits, and guidance on the claims process, alongside public education sessions promoting responsible road use and the use of the toll-free emergency number 9682.
The outreach also responded to the concerning crash data in the Khomas Region, which has recorded the highest number of incidents this year, with 238 crashes, 360 injuries, and 10 fatalities as of 22 March 2026. By engaging communities directly, the Fund aims to address key risk factors such as speed, driver fatigue, and reckless behaviour, while reaffirming its commitment to making services accessible and promoting safer roads for everyone.
